Bob Couey

Chief Deputy Couey began his law enforcement career in 1991 with the Floyd County Police Department where he served in the Patrol Division, the Selective Enforcement Unit, the Floyd County SWAT Team and the Rome-Floyd Metro Drug Task Force. In 2005 Chief Couey was appointed Magistrate Judge of Floyd County where he served on the bench for 16 years before being appointed as Chief Deputy by Sheriff Roberson in January 2021.
